Do you swing between feeling completely overwhelmed and feeling nothing at all — and have no idea what to do with either state?

In this episode I break down what the window of tolerance actually is, how to use it in trauma recovery, why dysregulation has a direction that determines everything about what your nervous system needs, and what to do differently depending on which way you've gone.

I also share why applying a calming strategy when you're shut down — or a stimulating one when you're already flooded — doesn't just fail to help. It can make things worse.

This is one of the first things I teach every client. Not because it's simple, but because nothing else works without it.
